Simultaneous Interpreting

Simultaneous Interpreting

Providing the target-language message at roughly the same time as the source-language message is being produced.

In simultaneous interpretation, the interpreter is isolated in a booth. He/she speaks at the same time as the speaker and therefore has no need to memorise or write down what is said.
